The Velvet Touch surface... I can only describe it as soft and suede-like and entirely dreamy.
I chose Mantis Mundi (though Aspic Hunt was a close second) and absolutely loved it. I wish I was able to convey through the internet what the Velvet Touch surface feels like—it is soft, suede-like, and entirely dreamy. Every time you pick up a piece, you get that same luxurious feeling all over again, making the assembly a tactile indulgence. The 1.9 mm pieces are sturdy and have a snug fit with no false fits.
The included box lid holder is thick, velvet-surfaced cardboard, which provided much-needed friction and held out through the entire puzzle. The included art print is spectacular and has multiple benefits: each puzzle includes information about the artist, where to find more of their work, and details the brand’s charitable commitment. A portion of proceeds from each puzzle supports a selected charitable or socially-responsible foundation (often chosen by the artist), as seen with the Land of Enchantment puzzle which supports LymeDisease.org.
They also have an impressive piece replacement policy, where they will actually hunt down your missing piece rather than replacing the entire puzzle.
