✋ Hands On Experience
While the pieces are quite thin and didn’t stay together when building (making it hard to work in sections), the quality of the image and the surprising 100% pick up at the end made the experience a positive one.
The puzzle’s construction uses paper on both sides of the pieces, which helps reduce dust and eliminates warping—a nice detail, as the puzzle back color matches the front image. However, the pieces are quite thin, measuring just 1.4 mm in thickness. This thinness means the puzzle cannot be worked in sections, as the pieces tend to slide apart.
Despite the thinness, the pieces were sturdy, and surprisingly, the completed puzzle achieved 100% pick-up (the ability to lift the entire puzzle without it falling apart). The vibrant color of the art (like Le Chat) made the build enjoyable, even with the challenge of thin pieces.
Pros and Cons
✅ Pros (The Experience & Quality)
Vibrant Artwork: Clear, true-to-life, and beautiful colors (e.g., Car Pintos’ art).
Color-Matched Back: Unique detail with paper on both sides of the piece.
Low Dust: Paper-backed construction results in minimal puzzle dust.
100% Pick-Up: Surprisingly cohesive when completed.
Reference Poster: Included in the box.
❌ Cons (Minor Imperfections)
Thin Pieces: Piece gauge is only 1.4 mm.
Poor Section-Building: Pieces do not hold together well during the assembly process, preventing the construction of movable sections.
Glossy Finish: Can be reflective and cause glare.
💡 Final Thoughts: The Verdict
If your priority is a puzzle with vibrant, high-quality artwork and you appreciate unique details like a color-matched puzzle back, Paper House is a solid choice. While the thinness of the pieces (1.4 mm) makes section-building difficult, the final assembly is surprisingly robust, and the overall aesthetic appeal of the images is worth the slight challenge.
