I love a good matte finish on a puzzle! There are premium brands using a velvet finish, which is so luscious to work with; I’m so excited to see this kind of finish on a lower price point.
The pieces felt great due to the Soft Touch finish—it truly is a smooth, luscious feel to work with. The pieces fit snugly together, and while I didn’t have any true false fits, I did find myself having to move pieces that I thought fit but ultimately didn’t. The included large poster was helpful and I found myself using it more than I normally would.
The biggest drawback I noted was the unbelievable amount of puzzle dust that came out of the bag and continued to spread across my puzzle board the entire time I was working on it. While the dust doesn’t bother me allergy-wise, it doesn’t make for nice photos.
I also noted a missed educational moment with the Flower Map puzzle, as they didn’t include the names of the flowers on the box or in the poster, though I was happy to look them up myself!

However, be aware of a potential customer service issue. I also completed a different puzzle in the Soft Touch line that was missing pieces. I submitted a request for replacement two months ago, following the instructions on their website, and I have yet to hear back or receive the replacement.
