White Mountain Mystery Puzzles are the perfect combination of a classic jigsaw puzzle and a challenging activity. Each one is a jigsaw puzzle plus a little something extra: a whodunit mystery. The box cover provides the initial context for the murder. As you put the puzzle together, you’ll notice key differences between the box image and the assembled puzzle—these are the clues! Once the puzzle is complete and all the clues are revealed, you have all the information you need to solve the mystery, meaning the fun continues even after the last piece is placed.

I definitely recommend the mystery series from White Mountain! Part of the fun of jigsaw puzzles is seeing the image come together, but when there’s that little extra bit like a seek and find or a twist, I am all in!
The pieces are made with sturdy, high-quality blue chipboard and have a good 2.0 mm thickness. The random cut style, which flows in a serpentine pattern, makes for an engaging and varied assembly process with a satisfyingly snug fit and no false fits.
A key point for White Mountain is that their 1000-piece puzzles use pieces that are larger than normal, resulting in a substantial 24” x 30” finished size, which is great for those who prefer bigger pieces.
The main drawback I noted is the high dust level in the box. Also, since this is a mystery puzzle, I am careful about the photos I show so as not to spoil the fun of the reveal!
